Despite being listed on page 22 of Gene Florence’s Anchor Hocking’s Fire-King & More 2nd Edition, I’m pretty sure this bowl does not exist. In the aforementioned book, he said part #765 was 5 3/4″ dia, in another book 5 3/8″ dia. No height was provided in either listing.
Perhaps Florence got it mixed up with the similarly-sized scalloped-rim 5.25″ Dip Bowl or the smooth-rimmed 5.25″ x 1.25″ Shallow Bowl whose part number is #765? Maybe it was just a typo. Regardless, I’ve found no proof in a catalog, on a box, or in a photo that this bowl exists. I list it only for completist collectors who may be searching, perhaps fruitlessly, for it.
If you have a 5.75″ scalloped rim bowl, I’m happy to be proved wrong. Please post pictures of it – alone and with a tape measure showing its height and diameter – then I’ll continue hunting for the correct part number for it.
