Notes: |
In this day and age when we drink large glasses of everything, these little Juice Glasses aren’t nearly as useful for beverages today as they were in the 1960s and 1970s when restaurants served juice in tiny glasses. They are, however, pretty common as Anchor Hocking sold them individually beginning in 1964, in Anchor Packs of four starting in 1973, and included them in both the Breakfast and Juice Sets.
I most often use mine to hold water when I paint – for thinning paint and cleaning brushes. I’ve also assigned one as a glue holder: it’s just the right size to hold a bottle of Tacky Glue upside down, so it’s ready to apply whenever I need it. No more shaking and squeezing the bottle to get the glue to come out. Don’t worry. These little glasses clean up perfectly every time. You’d never know what I used them for if I hadn’t just told you.
